Urbanism of exception: camps and inhabitation

چکیده
Writing on camps is dangerous as they are never constrained to the architectural scale and form, we might firstly perceive them. If examined singular objects, even in their multiple diverse morphological aspects contested historiography, seem incapable of mobilizing spatial reflection beside an aesthetic precarity, makeshift resistance or violent power control, surveillance, exclusion, death. But when imbricated with infrastructures, territories, materials, border regimes, migration policies, activism, network solidarity become active part a larger reality-making apparatus enhancing different temporal articulations without recomposition. this short contribution I want reflect what consider central tension ambivalence camp political theory urban thinking: between possibility (or impossibility) inhabitation.

Inhabitation for Non-idempotent Intersection Types
The inhabitation problem for intersection types in λ-calculus is known to be undecidable. We study the problem in the case of non-idempotent intersection, considering several type assignment systems, which characterize the solvable or the strongly normalizing λ-terms. We prove the decidability of the inhabitation problem for all the systems considered, by providing sound and complete inhabitati...
متن کاملUrbanism as Computation
Successful urban configurations are the result of a complex sequence of implicit computations that transform unorganized input into organized output. Although that is exactly what they do, few urbanists discuss their work in these terms. I propose a fundamental distinction between the principal methods of urban computation. One algorithmic process for urbanism leads to formal planning, which la...

thousand. Four years later there were about two hundred camps in existence, and five thousand boys were in the field. The number has increased steadily and rapidly in the last five years. Five years ago about ten thousand boys received the benefit of outdoor life during the summer months. During the past season, 1907, there were between four and five hundred summer camps, and about twenty-five ...
متن کاملThe Complexity of Inhabitation with Explicit Intersection
It is shown that the inhabitation problem for intersection types without the intersection introduction rule is Expspace-complete and that the further restriction without subtyping is Pspace-complete.
متن کاملInhabitation of Low-Rank Intersection Types
We prove that the inhabitation problem (“Does there exist a closed term of a given type?”) is undecidable for intersection types of rank 3 and exponential space complete for intersection types of rank 2.
